YOUTH EDUCATION AND EMPOWERMENT THROUGH SPORTS [YES]

SOCCER CAMPS

 

Zimbabwe Soccer Camps serve to teach Zimbabwean kids the art of playing futbol (soccer), providing them with a safe social space and role-models.  The camps give them a platform to connect with fellow American kids who donate equipment and fund their participation.

DRUG AND ALCOHOL AWARENESS

We also use this platform to build drug and alcohol abuse awareness in young Zimbabweans.

 

Through this program  we provide educational workshops in communities vulnerable to and affected by drug and alcohol abuse. FFZ seeks to raise and improve awareness on the health and psychological effects of drug and alcohol abuse. Drug abuse is not only detrimental to human life but to the environment as well.

Due to the lack of employment opportunities, most young Zimbabweans resort to drugs and alcohol. We work in low income high density communities where drug and alcohol abuse is growingly endemic.

COACHING CLINICS

Using sports, particularly football, we also mentor young adults to be responsible leaders and mentors through coaching clinics. We equip young aspiring coaches the skills to not only be coaches on the field but off the field as well.
